Martina Norenegbe Idehen Nosakhare is the Director and Co-Founder of Empower Life Supported Living Ltd, a specialist supported living organisation based in Sheffield providing compassionate, person-centred support to adults aged 18–65 with learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, and physical disabilities.
Since founding the organisation in June 2023, Martina has been the driving force behind Empower Life’s mission: to ensure that every adult, regardless of their disability or condition, has the opportunity to live a meaningful, independent, and fulfilled life in their own home and community.
With a deep commitment to dignity, inclusion, and person-centred values, Martina leads a dedicated team of support workers who deliver bespoke, high-quality support across Sheffield. Under her leadership, Empower Life has established itself as a trusted provider, registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and committed to the highest standards of safety and quality.
I believe that genuine support begins with listening — truly listening — to the person in front of you. Every individual has their own story, their own strengths, and their own vision for their life.
My journey in supported living began with a simple but powerful conviction: that disability should never determine the boundaries of someone's life. I founded Empower Life Supported Living in 2023 to turn that conviction into action, building a service where every person we support is treated with dignity, respected as an individual, and empowered to thrive.
With years of experience in health and social care leadership, Martina brings a comprehensive understanding of what high-quality, person-centred support looks like in practice. She has developed strong relationships with local authorities, NHS commissioners, and families across Sheffield, ensuring that Empower Life’s services are not only compassionate but also well-coordinated and responsive to the wider support landscape.
